PLANT FOR MANUFACTURE THIN BASALT FIBRE
Plant consists of the bathing melting furnace of direct heating with the automatic or
manual loader, unit of formation of melt jets and the takeup-forming conveyor. If
necessary plant can be completed with broaching machine or a line of reception of
soft slabs with synthetic binding.
Basalt thin staple fiber (BTSF) is made by one-stage blowing of the fused basalt
jets by the condensed air, that essentially deflates their cost price in comparison with BSTF.
The electric equipment and automatics provide the control of an operating mode of
the furnace, automatic loading of a crumb, the control and management of operating
modes of feeders, and also the alarm system.
Manufacture of a basalt thin fibre consists in the following: by means of batcher
the raw material moves to a zone of loading of the furnace. Loading is made automatically.
The furnace a bathroom, melting, direct heating, continuous action. The furnace is
supplied by a radiating recuperator for heating air going on burning. For heating the
furnace and a feeder are used the flat flaming gas-jet established in the arch of the furnace.
The basalt rubble loaded into pool of a melting part of the furnace melts at
temperature of gas space 1450 ± 20 Ñ. The melt go in a feeder in which ground part
it is established a bushing assembly warmed by an alternating current. Under action
of hydrostatic pressure of a melt column in a warmed-up feeder continuous jets of
melt which get in blowhead are formed. Condensed air, passing through blowhead,
inflates and extends a malt jets in the form of staple fibres.
Further fibres go through diffuser to the faber precipitation chamber and then are
precipitated in the form of a carpet on a horizontal moving grid of the takeup-forming
conveyor. The fibrous carpet further is rolling and packed, or acts for the further processing.
